Our first stop is to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery for lunch and a guided tour of this unique attraction. Find out how the traditional Aussie bush product is made, as well as the past and present process of eucalyptus oil distilling. Next, we visit Clifford’s Honey Farm for a talk and tasting. Discover the unique Ligurian bee and learn about the process of honey production. Spend the next 2 nights at the Mercure Kangaroo Island Lodge. The property overlooks the tranquil ocean waters of American River Bay, surrounded by trees, birdlife and animals with an award-winning restaurant.

Day 3 – Thursday 17 October 2024
(Meals: BLD)
We start our second day’s adventure exploring the pristine wilderness of Kangaroo Island at Seal Bay Conservation Park. Here we are treated to an unforgettable experience as our expert guide takes us down on to the beach and introduces us to the endangered sea lion colony. Next, we visit the Raptor Domain for a private viewing of the impressive Birds of Prey “In Flight” Presentation. Then, we travel to the south-west corner of the island where we enter Flinders Chase National Park, a protected area and sanctuary for endangered species. The park is also home to some spectacular geological phenomena. Perched above the sea, the impressive Remarkable Rocks form a cluster of precariously balanced granite boulders shaped by the erosive forces of wind, sea spray and rain over some 500 million years. We pause to admire the striking Cape Du Couedic Lighthouse and witness the amazing forces of nature at Admirals Arch. A viewing platform and boardwalk around a cliff face leads to the spectacular natural rock arch and allows us to observe a colony of New Zealand fur-seals on the rock platforms below.
